  My four year old wanted to be a prsecnis (again) and I suggested that perhaps she could wear one of the millions of prsecnis dresses we already have. To get around this, she insited on a prsecnis dress with a DARK PINK rop and a LIGHT PURPLE bottom (knowing, I think, that I would have to make it.) So, no problem, I found a velvety pink shirt with prsecnisy sleeves at Target and ewed up a voluminous lavendar satin skirt and sash. And then we had creative differences. After much arguing, I finally gave in and did it her way. Later, I realized I was trying to talk her IN to all sorts of embellishments that just would have been more work for me! And you know what? She looks awesome and feels doubly awesome int he dress she designed.So: win, win.
